If your primary driver is audit readiness, ask for redacted examples of the documentation packages they have produced that have passed regulatory examination or third-party audits. Organizations that have been through successful audits will be able to show you what that documentation looks like: AI system inventory, data flow diagrams, risk assessments, bias testing records, incident response plans, and training records.
